You stay in control.

  • Drafts by default

    A new invoice is a draft unless you say otherwise.

  • Drafts are free

    A draft costs nothing and reaches nobody. Edit it or delete it.

  • Finalizing spends credit

    Finalizing uses your free invoice if you still have it, otherwise $0.30 of your prepaid credit. It cannot be undone.

  • Sending is its own step

    Creating or finalizing an invoice never emails it. A draft cannot be sent at all.

  • Your account only

    The connection reaches your own Billstride account and nothing else. It cannot charge your card or top up your balance.

  • Disconnect any time

    Open Settings → Connected apps in Billstride and hit Disconnect. Access ends at once.

Is Billstride in the ChatGPT plugin directory?
Not yet. We are about to submit the plugin for review. Until then, add Billstride as a custom MCP server with the URL above.
Does it cost extra?
No. You pay $0.30 per finalized invoice, the same as in the web app. Drafts are free. Your ChatGPT plan is billed separately.
Will ChatGPT send invoices on its own?
New invoices start as drafts, and a draft cannot be emailed. Sending is a separate step. Automatic reminders, if you switched them on in Billstride, keep running.
What can ChatGPT reach?
Your own Billstride account: invoices, customers, balance and settings. Billstride lists what the connection may do before you approve it. It cannot charge your card or top up your balance.
Can I get e-invoices this way?
Yes. Ask for a finalized invoice as ZUGFeRD or XRechnung and you get a download link. It works for 15 minutes.
Do I need a Billstride account?
Yes. It is free, and so is your first invoice. Finish the short setup in the web app first, because your company details go on every invoice.
How do I disconnect?
Open Settings → Connected apps in Billstride and hit Disconnect. Then remove Billstride from your ChatGPT settings too.
